Dolores M. Scott, 83, of Granite City, passed away at 12:32 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Gateway Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 5, 1930 in Granite City, a daughter of the late Edgar and Dorothy (Duvall) Bledsoe.
She married Cledis E. “Scotty” Scott on March 3, 1967 in Madison County and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2002.
Dolores had worked for Dr. Thomas in Fairview Heights for 15 years as his administrative assistant. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Harvest Community Church in Granite City and enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Ladies. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her grandchildren and other family and friends.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Julie Scott of Granite City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Wallace of Granite City and Sandra and Jim Brawley of Granite City; seven grandchildren, Robert Wallace, Timothy Wallace, Nick Brawley, Lauren Shipley, Alexz Brawley, Makenzie Scott and Caleb Scott; ten great-grandchildren, Rowan, Avery, Edie, Paige, Tara, Tre, Hailey, Hannah, Peyton and Drew; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Kathy Bledsoe of Granite City and Richard and Mary Ann Bledsoe of Granite City; a sister-in-law, Geneva Mattea of Collinsville; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timothy Wallace and a sister, Verlia Wilson.
Services were through Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City.
