Donald was born Sept. 1, 1928, in St. Louis but spent most of his life in Granite City, a son of the late Harry and Lilly (Noonan) Weis. He married Anna M. (Thomas) Weis on July 29, 1950, in Arkansas and she passed away Jan. 30, 2003. They were blessed with four children and he cherished every minute of his life with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always stated, “Remember Family First.” He also had many nieces and nephews that love and respect him for his kindness. Donald was a respected bricklayer for many years and was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman. Donald was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City. He was extremely generous and believed in “paying it forward” to his family, friends, people less fortunate and the church. He awoke every day with joy in his heart that spread to everyone he spoke to. In his spare time, he enjoyed his days of vacationing, camping, boating, golfing and especially flying planes with his son. If you were blessed to have this man in your life, remember all the fun times together.
