Donald McCormick, 84, of Red Rock, Ariz., went to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 at his home in Red Rock, Ariz.
He was born April 13, 1931, in Alton, the son of Earl and Rosalie (Darnell) McCormick.
Donald was the Chief Engineer at Colonial Bakery in Alton and Rainbow Bakery in Arizona. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years and the U.S. Air Force for 16 years, where he was a Master Sergeant. Donald enjoyed bowling and wood working.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three sons and their spouses, Donald R. (Mary) McCormick of Chicago, Robert E. (Denise) McCormick of Troy, Mo., and Wayne P. (Dawn) McCormick of Godfrey; two daughters, Linda I. Walker (Gary Claus) of Godfrey, and Laura E. Overstreet of Red Rock, Ariz.; eight brothers and sisters; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Charles Mark McCormick.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the funeral home with his brother, Jim McCormick, officiating.
Interment will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey with military rites.
