Donna M. Deidiker, 86, of Climax Springs, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.
She was born on July 29, 1928, in Bucyrus, Ohio, a daughter to the late Raymond C. and Olive A. (Geiser) Day.
Donna was a retail clerk at Sears for more than 25 years and in her free time she enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, putting puzzles together and watching her grandsons play baseball. She will be remembered for her kind heart and all the special times she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by and will be missed by her daughters, Linda Garner and (Ron) of New Douglas, Pat and (John) Buehrle of St. Charles, Mo., Diane and (Marvin) Boyer of Roach, Mo., Carol and (David) Cavaness of Marine; sons, Clifford and (Judy) Deidiker of Pleasant View, Tenn., Edward and (Dana) Deidiker of Worden; sister, Betty Summer of California City, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Deidiker, whom she married on July 6, 1946; her sister, Velma Ingle; her brother, Raymond Day; great-granddaughter, Montana Garner; and sons-in-law, Larry Garner Sr. and Brian Haukap.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. In celebration of her life, services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Marine City Cemetery.
