Eddie Lynn Milton, 63, of Granite City, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at his home.
He was born July 20, 1951, in Granite City, the son of O’Neal Milton and Verlia J. Bledsoe, and stepson to Frank H. Wilson Jr. Eddie graduated from Granite City High School in 1969. He was a very good athlete and an exceptional baseball player. He worked at GM, Londoff Chevrolet, and was the owner operator of Edgar’s Coachmen Inn. He enjoyed many activities, but later in life, fishing was what he loved the most. Eddie will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by two brothers, Brett and Cambridge Milton of Waynesboro, Va., and Mark and Lori Wilson of Granite City; one son, Matthew E. Milton of Bethel Park, Pa.; one daughter, Helen (Kevin) Gust of Maryland Heights, Mo.; grandsons, Chase, Drew, Zach, Treynne and Hayden; great-granddaughter, Sage; nephews, Aaron Snead, Jamie Kirby and Jake Wilson; and nieces, Wendy Southers and Kristen Wilson; many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends. A special Thank You to his Aunt Delores and Cousin Debbie for all the wonderful support and love that they had shown him.
The family-only graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Pastor Roy Boyer of Harvest Assembly will be officiating. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society and Harvest Assembly Church.
