Elmer “Buddy” Edward Pelzer, 79, of Edwardsville, formerly of Alton, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, in Edwardsville.
He was born Dec. 11, 1935, in Chicago, the son of Elmer and Margaret (Larson) Pelzer.

Buddy served in the U.S. Army and for many years traveled the highways as a truck driver for Lissner Corporation. He was known best for his comical T-shirts, witty sense of humor, and countless trips for coffee and doughnuts to Mr. Donut. Most of all, Buddy was a wonderful husband to Connie and he missed her deeply.
He will be missed by his extended family, Jenny (Greg) Baker of Evans, Ga., Terri (Bob) Lowrance of Holiday Shores, Dan (Susan) Beers of Godfrey, Scott Beers of East Alton and Russell Beers of Johnston City, Ill.; 11 stepgrandchildren, Kiefer, Christian and Sean Baker, Eric Schmidt, Paige Davis, Robby and Ryan Lowrance, Chrystal Woods, Alex Beers, Heather and Amy Beers; two great- grandchildren and Mary Stewart at Rosewood Care Center, who was such a blessing to our family.
