Emma D. Stotler, 98, of Bethalto, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Mark, the daughter of the late Julio and Elena (Zanni) Ricci.
She married Roy Stotler on Sept. 21, 1941, in Wood River. He preceded her in death in November 2001.
Emma owned and operated Stotler’s Dress Shop for 25 years. She and her husband were charter members of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto for 75 years. She was a member of the Bethalto Chamber of Commerce and the Daughters of Isabel. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Lynn Linton of Bethalto, Ricci (Nancy) Stotler of Brighton, Sherryl Devine of Fosterburg, Mary Stotler of Holiday Shores and Tina Stotler of Lake of Ozarks, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Dale Ahlmeyer; son-in-law, Robert Linton; three sisters; an infant sister; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lydia Ricci and Dena and John Meldi; and her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Elizabeth Ricci.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
