Fannie M. Redfern, 74, of Granite City, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1940, a daughter to the late Wesley and Jessie (McMahan) Pinnon.
Fannie was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart and all the special times she shared with her family.
She is survived by and will be missed by her son, Michael McCallister of Granite City; daughters, Theresa Paschedag of Granite City, Ronda Boyer of Granite City, and Michelle McCallister of Granite City; brother, Wayne Pinnon of Florida; longtime boyfriend, Jerry Scott of St. Clair, Mo.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gene Redfern, who she married on Feb. 7, 1969; a daughter, Tammy Hendrickson; sisters, Ruth (Pinnon) Smith and Helen (Pinnon) Davidson; and brother, Doyle Pinnon.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of her life services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
