Francis Frank Winkleblack, 86, of East Alton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Liberty Village in Jerseyville.
He was born April 10, 1929, in Keewatin, Minn., the son to the late John and Emma (Kampa) Winkleblack. He married Hilda Mae Ferguson Oct. 17, 1987, in Stillwater, Okla., and she preceded him death June 24, 2003. Francis spent 40 years working as a toolmaker. He served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by four children and five stepchildren, Jeff, Duane, Greg and Gary Ferguson, and Brenda Kennedy; sister, Janice Stumbough; grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Trevor, Lauren, John and Chris; and a special niece, Kay Everett, and her children, Teresa and Michelle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and four siblings, John and Ed Winkleblack, Mildred Hart, and Doris Singleton.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com.
