Gary Wayne Crader, 54, of Granite City, passed away at 10:49 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at his home.
He was born April 15, 1960, in St. Louis, a son of Pat (Flowers) Crader of Granite City and the late Leman Gary Crader. He had worked for American Can Company in St. Louis as a forklift operator. He enjoyed watching television, movies, playing on the computer, listening to music, cooking and fishing. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by three children, Ria and her husband, Aaron High, of Granite City, Steven Crader of O’Fallon, Mo., and Sheena Crader of O’Fallon, Mo.; three grandchildren, Ellie High, Vyctoria Crader and Brennan Cochran; a brother, Steve Crader of Edwardsville; a niece, Audrey Crader of Edwardsville; a nephew, Joshua McDowell of Edwardsville; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, with the Rev. Rich Cope officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City, Ill.
