Glenda Ann Morelock, 76, of Granite City, passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 in Granite City.
She was born April 14, 1938 in East Prairie, Missouri, a daughter of the late Thomas and Laura Ann (Bond) Wilson.
She married Joseph W. Morelock Jr. on May 26, 1964 in Little Rock, Arkansas and he passed away on October 10, 1998.
Glenda enjoyed her days of singing and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Robert Niemeyer of Henderson, Arkansas, David (Sonia) Niemeyer of Granite City, Tracy Hamilton of Granite City, Jacque Morelock of Collinsville; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Bobby, Jessica, Megan, Heather and Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Bella and Avery; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Shirley Lindsey of Jackson, Missouri, Faye and Clyde Miller of Mitchell and Carol and Tom Johnson of Sikeston, Missouri; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Chuck Niemeyer and Joseph W. Morelock III and one brother, Bobby Holder.
In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles West officiating.
