Gregory E. Hartsock, 60, of Brighton, died unexpectedly at 12:28 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.
He was born to the late Dale L. and Edna R. (Taul) Hartsock on March 17, 1955, in Wood River.
Greg retired as a moldmaker from Hutchinson Foundry. He was a member of the Tri-County Rod & Gun Club, volunteered for the Brighton-Betsey Ann Association, and coached Little League softball. He loved fishing and watching his kids and grandkids play sports. Greg was a very loving husband, dad and grandfather.
He married Denise C. (DeMattos) Hartsock Sept. 9, 1978 in Brighton. She survives and resides in Brighton.
Also surviving are two daughters and significant others, Kristine Hartsock and Dan Fitzgerald of Moro and Allison M. Hartsock and Kristen N. Stanley of East Alton; two grandchildren, Eli and Madelyn; one sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Don Osmoe of White City; and one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Joan Hartsock of Brighton.
Memorial visitation will be 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.
Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at the funeral home.
