Harold “Beaver” Pulley Sr., 69, of Granite City, died at 12:41 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born Jan. 8, 1946, in Cumberland City, Tenn., to the late William and Pauline Pulley. On Jan. 28, 1967, he and Shirley Sue Morgan were married in Cahokia. She survives in Granite City.
Beaver retired from American Steel as a locomotive engineer in 2008 after 35 years of service. He was a Mason, Shriner and member of the Rolling Nobles. He also loved to hunt, fish, play guitar and garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sara Elaine Adams of Perris, Calif., two sons, Harold (Kimberly) Pulley Jr. of Granite City and Mark Alan (Kelley Wilkinson) Pulley of O’Fallon, Mo.; six grandchildren, Barbara (Cyle Curry) Pulley, Dawn Pulley, Ann (P.J.) Delozier and Michael (Stephanie Lohman) Pulley, Tiffany Adams and Hannah Adams; nine great-grandchildren, Drake Roth, Devon Pulley, Carissa Curry, Kyra and Kayden Schehl, Isaiah Pulley and Sophia, Ali and Laine Lohman-Pulley; three brothers, Verlin Pulley of Granite City, Henry Pulley of Erin, Tenn., and Ray (Doris) Pulley of Nashville, Tenn.; and three sisters, Eloise Pulley of Tennessee Ridge, Tenn., Earline Pulley of Erin, Tenn., and Effie (Bill) Witcher of Lebanon, Tenn.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Woodrow, Billy, Carmack, Cleve and Roger Pulley.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City.
