Jacqueline “Jacki” Langford, 74, of Alton, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Bethalto Care Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Alton, the daughter of the late Maurice and Leah (Lefler) Griesbaum.
She married James E. Langford Sr. on April 15, 1960, in Edwardsville, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2014.
Jacki was an avid gardener who also loved crafts, reading, and was very passionate about animals. Her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her father, Maurice Griesbaum of Alton; a son, James E. and Teresa Langford II, of Wood River; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Dwight File of Alton, and Janet and Roy Smith of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sr.; her grandparents; her mother; and a daughter, Susan L. Langford, who passed away Sept. 9, 1979.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Don Long officiating.
Burial will take place in Upper Alton Cemetery.
