James A. Koehler, 61, of Madison, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Sept. 13, 1953, the son to Eugene Edward and Nettie (nee: Pinnon) Koehler.
James served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by three sons, Monte Hendrickson of Dupo, Curtis Koehler of Granite City, and Clarence and Brittney Koehler I of Collinsville; five grandchildren, Samantha Hendrickson, Juanita Hendrickson, Damian Ewald, Dominic Yanez and Clarence Koehler II; two brothers, Edward “Eddie” Koehler of Moody, Mo., Donald “Donnie” and Ann Koehler of Georgia; six sisters, Marylou and Melvin Schuler of Moody, Mo., Constance and Orla Stevens of Mount Olive, Stella and Bill Bush of Granite City, Pauline and Hale Miles of Granite City, Gina Coryell of Granite City and Tina Grizzard of Granite City.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Koehler; and a brother, Timothy Koehler.
Arrangements entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City. Burial will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
