Jane Ellen Haug, 67, of Granite City, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Barnes Jewish Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1948, in Granite City, a daughter to the late Carl C. and Alberta (Laur) Paoli.
Jane was a longtime beautician and was on staff at Irwin Chapel.
She was a member of Harvest Assembly, Grace East Church in Granite City and the Red Hat Society. Jane was a devoted Christian who had the Lord in her heart and would help anyone in need. In her free time she loved to babysit kids, especially her grandchildren, who she adored. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and all the special times she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by and will be missed by her children, David and (Michelle) Jarman of Granite City, Jason and (Linda) Haug of Granite City, and Carla Jane Haug of Granite City; grandchildren, Kristin Whitener, Bradley Whitener, Gabe Jarman, Morgan Jarman, Abby Haug, Kayla Haug, Julia Haug and Avery Burns; and brothers, David Paoli and Richard Paoli.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Haug, whom she married on Nov. 18, 1977, and her brother, Robert Paoli.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of her life, services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
