Kenneth E. Sutter Jr., 63, of Collinsville, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
He was born June 25, 1951, in Portsmouth, Va., a son of Doris A. (Pohl) Sutter Keller of Collinsville and the late Kenneth E. Sutter Sr.
Kenneth had worked as a warehouse manager and salesman with Gaine Brothers in St. Louis and had graduated from Ranken Technical College. He was a member of Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville, St. Charles County Order of the Eagles and the Collinsville Moose Lodge. He enjoyed his days of playing golf and bowling and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Brandi Sutter of O’Fallon, Mo., and Paul and Michele Sutter of Bartlesville, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jailyn and Connor Sutter and Aaron, Ty and McKenna Sutter; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Connie Sutter of O’Fallon, Ill., and Greg and Carolyn Sutter of O’Fallon; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends.
In addition to his beloved father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, George Keller.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Meadow Heights Baptist Church, 1498 Vandalia St. in Collinsville on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., where visitation will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Barnes and the Rev. Jim Donahue officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights. Memorials may be made to the Meadow Heights Baptist Church.
