Kevin James Faulkner, 28, of Granite City, passed away at 3:36 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 17, 1986, in St. Louis, a son of Timothy Lewis and Tracey Lynne (Boker) Faulkner of Granite City. He married Kayla Lynn (Dugger) Faulkner on Nov. 23, 2013, at the SIU Chapel in Edwardsville and she survives. Kevin had worked as a salesman with Goedekers in St. Louis. He never met a stranger and had a loving and kind spirit to all. He loved all sports and was an avid hockey fan. He loved being amongst his friends and being a part of “The Crew.” He was a 2005 graduate of Granite City High School. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his friends and family.
In addition to his beloved parents and wife, he is survived by a precious son, Kason Richard Faulkner; sister and brother-in-law, Leanne Michelle and Austin Wagoner and brother, Ryan Thomas Faulkner, all of Granite City. He was especially close to his grandparents, Thomas and Fern Boker of Granite City; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeff and Kimberly McClain of Caseyville; brother-in-law, Josh McClain; and two sisters-in-law, Kristen Dugger and Lori McClain; other extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James J. and Faye Faulkner.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, with the Reverend Tony Schoeber officiating.
