Kristi Kay Burton, 40, of Bethalto, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 7, 1974 in Alton, a daughter of Nellie (Franke) Beckwith of Bethalto and William Burton of East Alton.
Kristi had worked at Simmons Law Firm as a paralegal. She was an artist who loved to draw and write poetry.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Taylor J. Burton of Bethalto; a brother, Kip Allan Lackey of Cottage Hills; three sisters, Kim (Tony) Manoogian of Bethalto, Deana Gillen of Dunlap, Tenn., and Kim (David) Gallanti of Bethalto and many other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center in Kristi’s name.
