Linda Sue Brazier of Moro passed away at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, of pancreatic cancer.
She was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Alton, daughter of the late Robert O. and Silvia (Bruce) Goss.
Linda was an intelligent, passionate and joyful woman who deeply loved husband and family. She was a gifted and creative teacher of 30 years and continued during retirement serving with Illinois Retired Teachers Association. She made people feel special, lighting up a room with her smile, which was a reflection of her vibrant and positive love of life. Linda made it clear that she lived a full and happy life, content and wanting for nothing. She demonstrated her extraordinary gift of hospitality all the way to the very end.
Linda was a Silver Life Master bridge player. Her favorite physical activity was participating with the maintenance of her and her husband, Reid’s small farm.
In addition to her husband, James Reid Brazier, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Janet (Jeff) Bradford of West Des Moines, Iowa, Martha (Randy) Brown of Seymour, Ind., Randy (Felicia) Brazier of Bethalto, Annette (Mark) Dotson of Hartwell, Ga., and Roanna Brazier of Madison, Wis.; 11 well-loved grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Vincent (Linda) Goss of Brighton.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto will be in charge of arrangements.
