Lloyd E. Goodman, 83, of Granite City, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at his home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Vandleer, Tenn., the son of the late Bert and Bethel (Hassel) Goodman.
Lloyd was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Kienstra Concrete in Granite City.
The loving father enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing.
Lloyd is survived by two daughters, Beverly and husband, Vic Graham, and Shelle Ridings and her boyfriend, Keving Frawley, all of Granite City; stepdaughter, Peggy, and husband, Jeff Marler of Shiloh; three grandchildren, Phillip Graham, Diona Graham and Baylee Ridings; and four stepgrandchildren, Emily Meadors, Evan Grant, Janet Marler and Kyle Marler.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James “Jimmy” Goodman and Tommie Goodman; and a sister, Betty Goodman.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City.
