Lois Marie Rea, 77, of Granite City, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at her home.
She was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Pomona, a daughter of the late Harold and Eva Ivern (Choate) Fuller. She married Eldin E. Rea on Sept. 3, 1955, at Bethel Chapel in Granite City and he survives.
Lois was a dedicated and faithful member of Bethel Chapel and loved serving the Lord and attending church. She was a devoted homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by five children and their spouses, Cynthia and the Rev. Ritch Goldizen of South Roxana, Mark and Rhonda Rea of Cape Coral, Fla., Jeff and Mickey Rea of Macomb, Mo., Rebecca and Thomas Marrs of Granite City, and Jennifer and John Renner of Granite City; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Eric and Kelly Goldizen, Shontae and Ryan Harris, Richard Rea, Brandon and Christine Rea, Bethany Rea, Jeremy and Lindsay Rea, Corey and Becca Rea, Brittany and Patrick Dellinger, Scott and Samantha Marrs, Christopher Marrs, Erin Marrs, Cole Renner and Maddox Renner; 20 great-grandchildren; other extended family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Fuller and Wayne Fuller; and a sister, Crettie Ellis.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Bethel Chapel, 2445 Ohio St. in Granite City, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 with the Rev. David Brimm and the Rev. Ritch Goldizen officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
