Loretta A. Walker, 61, of Bethalto, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015.
She was born on Oct. 28, 1953, in Lawrence, Kan., the daughter of Leroy and Helen (Woolley) Walker.
Loretta graduated from Dixon High School and settled in Eldon, Mo. She retired from Fasco Industries after many years of service. Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family and returning to the Eldon area to see her many friends. She was a member of Lifebrook Church in Bethalto. Loretta loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Loretta loved her family and is survived by a daughter, Kelly Thompson, and grandson, Sebastian Thompson; two brothers and sisters-in-law and one sister and brother-in-law, Donald (Anna) Walker of Eldon, Mo., Alvin (Lisa) Walker of Jerseyville and Wanda (Jack) Howard of Mustang, Okla.; as well as nieces, Amy (David) Runyan, Sarah (Billy) Conboy, Shanda Howard and nephews, Tim Walker, Jack (Wendy) Howard; one special great-nephew, Jaden Runyan; and many other special great-nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Theresa Walker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the Eldon Church of the Nazarene in Eldon, Mo.
Memorials may be made to a scholarship program for Jaden.
