Marjorie E. Erwin, 95, of Alton, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Eunice Smith Home.
She was born March 28, 1920, in Macomb, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel (Wingate) Wilkins. She married Robert C. Erwin on May 18, 1945, in Avon, and he preceded her in death.
Marjorie was a longtime member of Main Street Methodist Church in Alton. She was active as a volunteer, and served with Senior Citizens Plus and the Alton Museum. She had been a Girl Scout leader for many years. Marjorie had been an Avon Representative for many years in the Alton area. She had also participated in L.I.F.T. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Richard Koscik of New Lennox; two grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Joellyn Koscik of Homer Glen, and Kerri and Mark Bradford of Riverside; two great-grandchildren, Jason Koscik and Ryan Bradford; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; a daughter, Barbara; and a brother, Ralph Wilkins.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tim Pate officiating, immediately followed by a luncheon at Main Street United Methodist Church.
A private family burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
