Mark W. Ballah, 43, of Alton, passed away at 7:41 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born July 24, 1971, the son of Bill and Doris (Muench) Ballah.
Mark was a graduate of Southwestern High School. He worked as a farmhand, taking care of farm animals and farming, doing what he loved. Mark attended the Bethalto Church of God and loved the Lord, trusting in Him for his daily living. He also enjoyed his dog and reading his Bible daily.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luther and Ruth Ballah; and his maternal grandparents, Frank Muench, Grace Muench and Ruth Muench.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Jeremy Robinson and Don Arnold officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethalto Church of God’s Royal Rangers.
