Mary Louise Gregus, 97, of Granite City, passed away at 5:21 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016.
She was born on March 3, 1918, in Stallings, Ill., the daughter of the late Benedict Dezan and Magdaline Tessri Dezan.
She married George Gregus on Dec. 27, 1941, at St. Joseph Church in Granite City. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1969.
Mary was a homemaker and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, George and Kathy Gregus of Granite City; grandchildren, Amy and Terry Taylor and Beth Gregus; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Waggener, and Ashley and Dylan Taylor; great-great-grandson, Landen Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Anthony Gregus; sister, Ann Fryntzko; and brothers, John and Anthony Dezan.
Visitation will take place 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Fr. Chris Comerford officiating.
