Michael “Mike” W. Fry, 62, of Meadowbrook, died at 8:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.
He was born Oct. 2, 1951, in Alton, the son of Kenneth E. and Mary (Runion) Fry.
Mike was an avid drag racing fan. He enjoyed carp fishing at Town and Country Lake and taking vacations to see the sunsets in Arizona.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Keri and Mark Courtouise of Bethalto, Kim and Tim Klocke of Meadowbrook, Corey Fry of Rosewood Heights and Heather Caldwell of House Springs, Mo.; six grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley and Eric Rusk, Megan Courtouise, Zach Klocke, Tim Klocke, Kota Klocke and Destini Gill; a sister, Pamela Leuty of Meadowbrook; two brothers, Tyrone Fry and Eric Fry, both of Meadowbrook; his nephews and niece, Mike Fry, Jamie Hickerson and Nicole Hickerson; and great-nephews, Anthony Fry, Brennen Fry and Samuel Silveus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Isaac Fry.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Carlos Bryant officiating.
Interment will be at a later date at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
