Mildred Louise “Millie” Harlow, 63, of Godfrey, and formerly of Griggsville, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1952, in Pittsfield, the daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy Pease Cannon. Millie married Willie Harlow on April 5, 1984, and he survives at home.
Also surviving are her daughters, Deana Bobzien of Minnesota, Jessica Harlow of Godfrey and Jerrica Harlow of Quincy; four grandchildren and a brother, Donald Cannon of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Bobzien.
Millie was a foster parent for more than 21 years, making a big difference in the lives of many children. She worked at the Kepley House in Pittsfield and Griggsville Estates. She loved helping others and was fond of animals. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Griggsville for more than 50 years and attended the Godfrey First United Methodist Church for the past eight years.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Chapel in Griggsville, Ill. Memorial visitations will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Godfrey First United Methodist Church and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral chapel.
