Nancy A. Savula, 66, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.
She was born in Alton on March 4, 1949, the daughter of the late John and Esther (Shannon) Savula.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and her Master’s degree from the University of Southern California. She worked as a geophysicist at Texaco and Amoco and later worked as an EDI Analyst at JB Hunt. She led an amazing life full of friends, traveling the world enjoying culture, music and art. She enjoyed nature, watching football and researching her heritage. She especially loved her cats.
Nancy is survived by a sister, Donna (Ronald) Toops of Troy; nieces, Monica (Robert) Allen and Christine (Brian) Sullivan; an aunt, Pat (George) Stumpe of Godfrey; and several cousins, James (Darla) Stumpe, Donald Stumpe, and Susan Pyle.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Graveside service will be held at 1:35 p.m. on March 23, 2015, at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
