Nannie Lula Scott, 94, of Alton, passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on July 15, 1920, in Sweeney, Texas, the daughter of the late John Bunyan and Myrtle (Ely) Plunkett.
Nannie was a school teacher in Texas. She taught for more than 25 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by Laurie and Mark Rotsch, Michael and Laura Scott, Dorothy and Anatoli Pohorelow and Betty and Bob Moon; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, on Humbert in Alton.
Military burial rites will be provided by Alton VFW Post No. 1308.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
