Nettie Fulkerson, 82, of Granite City, died Friday, July 24, 2015, at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 3, 1933 in Logan, Ill., to Arthur and Sallie (nee Horton) Ramsey.
In 1950, Nettie married Charles Fulkerson in Logan, Ill. He preceded her in death.
She worked at W.T. Grants, Carps and Woolworths department stores, all in Granite City. She was pastor of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Granite City for many years.
Nettie is survived by one daughter, Linda and Cecil Slavings of Springfield, Mo.; one grandson, Tony Slavings; two great-granddaughters, Ally Slavings and Madison Melton; and one sister, Anna Heard of Woodstock, Ill.
Besides her parents and husband, Nettie is preceded in death by one son, Michael Fulkerson; three brothers, Robert, John and Arthur Jr. Ramsey; and two sisters, Laura Hand and Delores Stookey.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory in Granite City. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Sunset Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
