Norman “Ray” Lucas, 51, of Madison, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, in St. Louis.
He was born on July 18, 1964, in Granite City, the son to Norman Ray Lucas Sr. and JoAnn (nee Clark) Lucas.
Ray had worked in construction for many years.
He is survived by his mother, JoAnn (nee Clark) Lucas of Madison; daughter, Amanda Lucas of Chicago, and Carl “Austin” Stewart of Wood River, who was like a son to him; and a brother, Jeffrey Scott Lucas of Granite City; an aunt, Neva Lucas, and cousins he was close with, Justin, Matthew, Allie, Marie, Linda, Debra, Kendall, Kenny, Diane, Christie and Beverly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Ray Lucas Sr.; daughter, Toni Lucas; and Aunt Betsy Morton and Uncle Kenneth Guy Lucas.
The family will have a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at Calvary Life Church, 4650 Maryville Road, Granite City. Donations may be made to the local Alcoholics Anonymous program.
