Pamela “Pam” S. Jaco, 57, of Hartford, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at her home under the care of her family and friends.
She was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Granite City, the daughter of James L. and Dorothy M. (Hopper) Gilreath.
She married Paul Jaco Oct. 27, 2000, in Edwardsville. He survives.
Pam was a homemaker and a member of the Wanda Methodist Church. She enjoyed life, reading, music, large gatherings, barbecues, fish fries and making popcorn with her nieces and nephews. Most all, she loved being with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Dorothy Gilreath of Hartford; a son, Paul M. Scudder and Kendy Jones of St. Joseph, Mo.; two stepchildren, Jason and Melissa Jaco of Highland, and Jess and Dax Gonzales of Alton; eight grandchildren, Jackson, Jordan, Colin, Emma, Rory, Mason, Paxton and Hudson; two sisters, Deborah N. Tatman, and Rhonda and Michael Bowman of Hartford; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, special friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at the Wanda Methodist Church with Pastor Gerald Savage officiating.
Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
