Patricia D. “Pat” Cooper
Patricia D. “Pat” Cooper, 72, of Troy, died at 9:33 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Gallup, N.M., a daughter of the late Herschel and Edith (McCurry) Trivitt.
She married Floyd E. Cooper on July 12, 1963, in Durant, Okla., and he survives.
Pat enjoyed reading, working puzzles and politics. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband of 51 years, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Roxie and Donnie Carpenter of Lebanon; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Donny and Tammy Archer of Granite City, Gene Cooper of Maryville and Russell Cooper of Troy; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Roxie Giveson of Ada, Okla.; brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Otis and Sharon Henry and Geneva Cooper, all of Sherman, Texas; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.W. Trivitt and Leroy Trivitt.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014.
