Patsy J. Williams, 85, of Alton, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1929, in Springfield, the daughter of Rodley and Louise (Russell) Derricott.
On Nov. 18, 1947, Patsy married Dale Williams. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2008. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Alton.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lisa Williams of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three grandchildren and their spouses, William and Kate Williams, Adam Williams, and Andria and Chad Malloy; five great-grandchildren, Chance, Declan, and Easton Williams, and Taylor and Hannah Malloy; a brother, Rodley Derricott; three nieces, Jill Teasley and husband, Finley, Carol Okamoto, and Sue Kokos; an aunt, Betty Sue Cox; and a longtime friend, Bev Bott.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Williams; and a sister-in-law, Joan Derricott.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
In celebration of Patsy and Dale’s lives, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Alton with Fr. Gary Goldacker officiating.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
