Pauline Marie Kirchner, 84, of East Alton, died at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Lebanon, Ill., to the late James and Ida (Oates) McManemy.
She and Edward L. Stefl were married in Oceola, Ark., in February 1949. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1971. She then married John O. Kirchner on Sept. 1, 1972 in East Alton. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2003.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Diana Stefl of East Alton; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Mark Wintjen of Hamburg, Ill., numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James McManemy of Glenwood, Ill., and John “Jack” McManemy of St. Louis.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, David Stefl; two brothers, Edward “Bud McManemy and Joseph McManemy; and three sisters, Frances Barthles, Jane Redecker and Delores Ries.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, with Fr. James Flach officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.
