Randy DeWayne Owens, 55, of Biloxi, Miss., and formerly of Granite City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, in Biloxi.
He was born Dec. 10, 1960, in Granite City, a son of the late James F. and Sylvia M. (Babb) Owens. He married Sabine (Amos) Owens on Sept. 5, 1991, in Hinesville, Ga., and she survives. The United States Army veteran proudly served his country with 20 years of dedicated service and retired in 2007. He enjoyed his days of traveling, photography, studying history, collecting coins and riding his bike. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a brother and sister and brother-in-law, Timothy W. and Denise Owens Sr. of Granite City; a sister, Angela Lynch of Otterville, Mo.; two nephews, Timothy and Amy Owens of Granite City and Joshua Owens of Granite City; one niece, Heather Owens-Jacob of Otterville, Mo.; two great-nephews, Aiden and Benjamin; and four great-nieces, Brooklyn, Dakota, Makenzie and Carly.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City with Father Jeff Holtman officiating.
