Renee Lechner, 54, of Collinsville passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at her home.
She was born on July 29, 1960, in Liverpool, Ohio.
Renee was a retired clerk for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and in her free time she enjoyed reading, baking and sewing. She will be remembered for her love of her family, especially her grandchildren and all the special times they shared together.
She is survived by and will be missed by her children, Rick and (Crystal) Lechner of Scott Air Force Base and Rebekah and (Brian) Wallace of Smithton; father, Ronald Varavette; mother, Rosalie and (James) McGovern; grandchildren, Xander Lawrence of Smithton and Rand Wallace of Smithton; sisters, Colleen Sempf, Rosaline Johnson and Rhonda Gilchrist; and brothers, Matthew McGovern, James McGovern and Sean McGovern.
Renee was preceded in death by her brother, Pat McGovern.
In celebration of her life friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
