Richard “Ricky” Glen Forsythe, 45, of Meadowbrook, died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at VIP Manor in Wood River.
He was born May 7, 1969, in Alton to the late Cecil and Vivian Marie (Hardy) Forsythe.
Richard had been a carpet and floor installer. He loved his “happy times,” fishing and spending time with his family, friends and grandkids.
Survivors include a daughter, Cassandra, and her husband, Ryan Malloy, of Hillsboro, Ill.; three grandchildren, Curtis Segrest, Rheece and Garrett Malloy of Hillsboro, Ill.; four brothers, Ron Forsythe of Bethalto, Dennis Forsythe of East Alton, Robert Forsythe of Granite City and Timothy Forsythe of Arkansas; six sisters, C. Joyce DeCobert of East Alton, Lisa Daugherty of Bethalto, Karen and Jim McDonald of Meadowbrook, Mona and Greg Whyers of Wood River, Lori Forsythe of Moro and Tammy Forsythe of Godfrey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, C. Ray Forsythe; two sisters, Rebecca Thornton and Donna Forsythe; and a nephew, William Nance.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Paynic Home for Funerals.
