Richard “Rick” William Klobe, 55, of Granite City died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at his residence.
He was born March 9, 1961, in Granite City, the son to Elmer J. and Lorene N. (nee Laurentius) Klobe.
Rick was an operating room nurse tech who worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was an avid fan of sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and he enjoyed debating politics.
Besides his mother, Rick is survived by two sons, Kyle Klobe of Granite City, USAF SSgt. Erik and Kaitlynn Klobe of Columbus, Ohio; one special grandson, Grayson Klobe; and one sister, Connie and Pete Mushill of Granite City. Rick will be missed by his two nieces, Elizabeth and Ben Bozicevic and Kelly Mushill; ex-wife, Theresa Kelly and many cousins and friends. Rick will also be missed by two very special buddies, Otis and Olive.
Rick was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Larry and Michael Klobe.
