Robert “Bob” L. Koehm, loving husband and father, 87, of Godfrey, passed away at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at OSF Saint Anthony’s Health Center.
He was born on April 6, 1928, in Greenfield, the son of Phillip Leo and Mary (McIlhern) Koehm.
He married Pauline M. Vortman Feb. 21, 1956, in Jacksonville. She survives.
Bob was retired from McDonnell Douglas, now known as Boeing, Bell Tone hearing aids and the Vac Shop in Godfrey. He was a member of the Alton Moose No. 951 and the Alton Eagles Lodge No. 254 FOE, where he enjoyed meeting his friends for an occasional beer. Bob enjoyed watching sports, specifically the Cardinals, fishing, playing with his dogs and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sherri Koehm of St. Louis and Terri Koehm of Godfrey; a sister-in-law, Marge Koehm of Greenfield; a cousin, Peggy Lou Sudbrink of Texas; four nephews, Greg Koehm of Anchorage, Alaska, Larry Vortman of Winchester, Lloyd Vortman of Winchester and Bruce Vortman of Roodhouse.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Willie Koehm and Leo (Roberta) Koehm.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, and Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
An additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at Greenfield United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Greenfield.
Memorials may be made to Parkinsons, Alton Eagles Lodge or Greenfield United Methodist Church.
