Robert L. Resinger, 60, of House Springs, Mo., passed away at 4:47 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
He was born July 27, 1955, in St. Louis. He was a printer for many years and enjoyed history and science fiction. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah (Lottmen) Resinger; father, Robert L. Resinger; granddaughter, Cierra Resinger; and a brother, John Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline (Eagan) Vaughn of Dupo; four children, Kathleen (Johnny) Mielke of Granite City, Trisha (Monty) Ortiz of Granite City, Robert Resinger of Oregon and Megan Resinger of Granite City; stepchildren, Travy Tatalovich of Memphis, Tenn., and Michael Tatalovich of St. Charles, Mo.; many grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Jackie (Brian) Harms of House Springs, Mo., Louis Resinger of Granite City, Karen (David) Williams of Dupo, Jimmy (Angie) Smith of Dupo and Pam Resinger of House Springs, Mo.; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial with full military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
