Robert Scott Mount, 72, of Granite City, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at Village North Rehabilitation in St. Louis.
He was born May 3, 1943, in Wichita, Kan., a son of the late Robert E. and Billie J. (Pledger) Mount. He married Marsha L. (Rylander) Mount on June 20, 1981, in Centralia, Ill., and she survives. Robert was in the banking industry for many years and served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Leyda Mount of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Daniel Hohm of Eureka, Mo.; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Koren and Mike Cook of Belleville; six grandchildren, Holden Mount, Henry Mount, Sage Meneses, Emma Cook, Ben Cook and Sarah Cook; other extended family and friends.
