Robert William Quigley, 67, of Moro, passed away at 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at his residence.
Born in Carrollton on Dec. 5, 1947, he was the son of Louise (Barrow) Jones of Cottage Hills and Howard Coonrod.
A. U.S. Marine, he was awarded a “Purple Heart” during his service.
Surviving are his mother; two sons, Gary Quigley of Alton and Robert Coonrod, residing in Mexico; two daughters, Theresa Quigley and Bobbi Jo Coonrod Schindler, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Carol Davis of Cottage Hills; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and longtime companion, Debbie Albott.
Preceding in death were his father; two brothers, Howard Coonrod Jr. and Leroy Quigley; and two sisters, Connie Hampton and Louise Wright.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Private burial with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
