Robyn Elaine Moore, 52, of Granite City, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1963, in St. Louis.
Robyn served as a Computer Systems Program Analyst for Madison County for many years. Robyn was an active member of Johnson Road General Baptist Church in Granite City, where she was involved in Helping Hands and was instrumental in establishing the church’s website. She loved animals, especially her furry children, Sunshine and Austin. But most of all she loved her family and will be remembered for her kind heart and all the special times they shared together.
She is survived by and will be missed by her husband, Glenn “Wally” Moore, whom she married on Jan. 23, 1999; her daughter, Jacqueline and (Jason) Stroud of Collinsville; her grandsons, Drew Stroud of Collinsville and Owen Stroud of Collinsville; her dad, John Edward Brewer of St. Louis; her mom, Shirley Jean (Ray) Welborn of Granite City; her brothers, Ronnie and (Carla) Brewer of Maryville and Donnie Welborn of Granite City; her sister, Annette and (Robert) Gaines of Indiana; her mother-in-law, Wanda Moore of Granite City and many special nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Robyn was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Leslie Glenn Moore.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of her life, visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at Johnson Road General Baptist Church, 2033 Johnson Road in Granite City, with Pastor Larry Blankley officiating. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
