Roger D. Buckingham, 60, of Granite City, passed away at 8:58 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born June 3, 1955, in Granite City, a son of Albert Eugene Buckingham and the late Annie Lee (Price) Buckingham. He married Marilyn Vivian (Rodgers) Buckingham on July 8, 2005, in Granite City and she survives.
Roger was a painter and had owned and operated Buckingham Painting for several years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR fan and enjoyed his days of fishing and watching sports. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife and father, he is survived by two daughters, Shanna (Robert) Gulley and Anna Buckingham; five grandchildren, Heather Turner, Nycholas Gulley, Zachary Vivod, Cody Vivod and Chelsea Vivod; a brother, Michael Buckingham; two sisters, Judy Buckingham and Cathey Buckingham; other extended family and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Buckingham and a sister, Jody Tanner.
