Ronald L. Langendorf, 53 of Worden, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at his residence in Worden.
He was born Friday, Feb. 9, 1962, in Staunton, the son of LeRoy and Verna (nee Steinmann) Langendorf.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, 1988, he married Sheila M. Langendorf (nee Hitchens), who survives.
Ronald was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Operating Engineers Local 399.
Ronald was born at Staunton and grew up in Hamel. He was a 1980 graduate of Edwardsville High School. He received an associate’s degree from St. Paul Lutheran Collage at Concordia, Mo. He worked for 30 years at Shell Oil Refinery, now Phillips 66, in Wood River as an operating engineer. Ronald enjoyed bowling, softball league, coaching his son in little league baseball and softball in school. He loved his family and friends.
Survivors include wife, Sheila M. Langendorf of Worden; daughter, Megan N. Langendorf of Worden; son, Nathan L. Langendorf of Worden; parents, LeRoy and Verna (Steinmann) Langendorf of Hamel; sister and brother-in-law, Patty (Dave) Epping of Bethalto; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Larry Langendorf of Prairietown, Steven (Vicki) Langendorf of Edwardsville, and Daniel (Beth) Langendorf of Edwardsville; mother-in-law, Martha Hitchens of Glen Carbon; brother-in-law, Steve (Michelle) Woosley of Edwardsville; sister-in-law, Mindy (Jim) Dehner of Godfrey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald Hitchens.
Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, with the Rev. Benjamin Ball, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel.
