Ronnie Joe Pruett, 62, of Granite City, passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at his home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1953, in Waverly, Tenn., a son of the late William Harold and Katie Bell (Page) Pruett. He married Deborah A. (Lawrence) Pruett on Sept. 30, 1974, in Edwardsville and she survives.
Ronnie loved driving his truck with more than 40 years of dedicated service as a truck driver. He enjoyed his days of riding his motorcycle and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by five daughters and a son-in-law, Tami Lawrence, Stephanie Pruett, Kimberly Pruett, Melissa and Danny Wozniak and Stacy Pruett; one son, Jessie Galvin; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Ashtin, Haily, Jessie, Garrett, Lana and Nicole; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Dylan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Bill Jacobs and Vicki and Bob Fry; four brothers, Stevie, Gene, Larry and Danny Pruett; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kaden Pruett; two sisters, Betty Atchison and Bonnie Liebold; and two brothers, Bill and Wayne Pruett.
In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be 5 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City with the Rev.
