Rosemary C. Dicus, 80, of Highland, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Trenton.
She was born on Wednesday, Feb, 13, 1935, in Highland, the daughter of Rodney and Mary Rosetta (nee Walker) Leroy.
On Friday, Feb. 20, 1970, she married Clifford R. Dicus, who passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
Rosemary was a member of Highland Community Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was born in Highland; she grew up in Highland, Mulberry Grove and Greenville. She graduated from Highland High School in 1952. Rosemary worked at the Brown Shoe Company in Trenton and St. Louis. She was a housewife for many years. After she divorced, she worked at Highland Ready Mix for many years as a bookkeeper; Forget-Me-Knot Florist as a floral designer and did record-keeping for her husband at Cliff’s Auto Body Shop. She enjoyed gardening (vegetables and flowers); woodworking; cooking and sewing. She was very active in her church at Highland Community Church and her granddaughter says, “She made the best cookies ever.”
Survivors include daughter, Lynn R. (Don) Rottmann of Trenton; son, Billy E. (Jackie) Federer of Highland; daughter, Tonia M. (Gary) Schuck of Trenton; stepson, Ronald R. (Crystal) Dicus of Highland; stepdaughter, Virginia G. Barth of Edwardsville; stepdaughter, Brenda K. (Steve) Wernle of Jamestown; brother, Kenneth Leroy of Highland; first husband, Earl Federer, who died March 20, 1989; grandchildren, Jackie, Carolyn and Tara; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Marcus, Zane, James, Janna, Jacob and Cailey; great-great-grandchildren, Skylar and Aaden; numerous stepgrandchildren and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Leroy; mother, Mary Rosetta Leroy; and husband, Clifford R. Dicus, who died April 15, 2015.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Highland Community Church in Highland.
Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Highland Community Church in Highland with Pastor the Rev. Larry Wise officiating.
Interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Bethel Cemetery in Savannah, Tenn.
