Ruby E. Young (nee Eggemeyer), 89, of Granite City, born Aug. 7, 1926, in Walsh, Ill., was called from this world to her reward in Heaven Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; there she rests from her labor and sings the praises of God.
Mrs. Young was a member St. John Lutheran Church in Granite City. She also was a life member of the VFW Axillary Post 3553. She enjoyed making homemade ice cream and crafting, especially needlepoint and plastic canvas. She absolutely adored being a grandmother and loved to entertain the entire family during the holidays. She was a wonderfully loving woman who will truly be missed by all who knew her. As we lay her body to rest, we do so with the sure and certain hope of the resurrection.
